Are you ready for our #BookstoreoftheWeek?!
This week we dive into one of the most historical bookshops in London: Hatchards.
It was founded in 1797, which makes it London’s oldest, still existing bookshop. They are situated in Piccadilly and last August they opened up a second store in St. Pancras International!
If you’re a bookworm or literary nut (like all of us at Abrams&Chronicle), then this is your paradise. Hatchards creates an amazing atmosphere that invites you to browse the many floors to find that one gem you’ve been looking for.
From dark wood panels, a winding staircase, fireplaces, books in every corner and stacked to the ceiling, to covering every topic imaginable: there is definitely something majestic about this store. Oh, and did we mention that it’s the Queen’s official book supplier? Well, if it’s good enough for the Queen…
