Today’s #BookstoreoftheWeek is bucking the trend being less a bookshop and more a haven for graphic art, illustration, photography and interiors…
Today we want to share with you our love for Colours May Vary.
This little boutique in Leeds is a source of inspiration, knick knacks and beautiful, useful, wares. From books to cards to gifts to textiles Colours May Vary is a little indie dream.
Welcoming and with the feeling of being more than just a shop, you are guaranteed to spend your visit thinking ‘one for me, one for you, and one for you, and you, and another for me, oh look another for me….’
Owners Becky Palfrey and Leeds City College arts librarian, Andy Gray both hold History of Art degrees and have worked in a wide ranging variety of creative stores. Their eclectic background is mirrored on their shelves. But this isn’t to say the shop is fragmented. Quite the contrary. Every inch of the store is thought out, everything has it’s place. Colours May Vary is a shop that you want to wander around and we think that really is the point of Indie stores!
With books on fashion, design, photography and art this is the Leeds answer to Magma and we are excited to be present on their shelves. Colours May Vary we think you are the bee’s knees. Keep flying your flag high!
